PIZZA MARGHERITA

The popular Pizza Margherita owes it’s name to Italy Queen Margherita who in 1889 visited Naples.

The pizza maker Raffaele Esposito created a pizza for the Queen that contained the 3 colours of the Italian flag. The red of tomato, white of mozzarella and fresh green basil a hit with the Queen and the rest of the World.

Today pizza is one of the most known and popular Italian food, both in Italy and in the rest of the world. May be because it’s so tasty.
It’s usual in Italy on Saturday night go out for a pizza with friends and spend some enjoyable time together.
